Open sub-menu from program

Postby smd » Fri Jul 10, 2015 1:21 am

Firemonkey XE8 (RAD C++)

I cannot seem to find a method to open a menu from the program. I have menu items on the MainMenu of my form which, depending on what is selected, may have one or two levels of child menus that open up. The menus themselves work fine from mouse clicks.

The issue is that a couple of the child-menus are various options for the operation. Selecting the item with the mouse works fine, but the menu closes after clicking which requires clicking the main menu, the child menu, and possibly a third child menu to re-open it.

What I want to do is when the selected operation completes, re-open the menu(s) at the end of the operation to the same position just selected so the user does not have to keep going through the menus when multiple options want to be changed. For a specific menu, looking at the long list of methods, I do not see something to execute to cause that menu to open.

So the question is: How do I programmatically open a menu or a child menu?
