focus rectangle

Postby CP » Mon Dec 20, 2004 7:21 pm

Hi,

How do I accomplish a focus rectangle in an image and be able to monitor the control so that the user can resize the image dynamically? It will be similar to drawing and dragging an component in BCB.

Thanks.

Hi CP,
Have a look at the approach presented in this article...

http://bcbjournal.org/free_issue/Quick_ ... ntrols.htm

In particular, have a look at Figure E. As described in the article, you can monitor the resizing/moving by catching the WM_SIZING and WM_MOVING messages.

Good luck,
Damon

Damon,

Can I make the TScrollBoxEx transparent? I am going to place a TImage on it but I need to to be transparent. Please let me know.

Thanks.

The only way to make the scroll box truly transparent is to use a region; have a look at the following article...

http://bcbjournal.org/articles/vol4/000 ... _forms.htm

Sorry for the late reply.
