XE2 Update 4 Available

Postby 2ffat » Wed Feb 29, 2012 9:12 am

There is new update for XE2. Be sure to read the release notes before installing. This took some time to install so plan accordingly. I don't remember the others taking so long.

Installing update 4 requires uninstalling all of C++Builder. If you have custom macros, custom code formatting or custom editor colours, SAVE THEM or they will be lost.

I've just seen a worrying thread on the Embarcadero forum, about excessive exports when using update 4.

Has anybody here seen this problem with update 4?

I don't have Update 4 installed yet, but I have not seen any discussions about that particular issue. There are plenty of discussions about various problems with Update 4 in general (which is why I have not installed it yet).

I've not noticed any problems but I've only build one app since installing and it wasn't a web app.
