What is new and what is the fashion?

Postby FrazzledBee » Tue Apr 21, 2009 5:59 am

So what's the current state of play regarding Borland C++ Builder? (any version). I'm no expert and have fun with my version 1 Standard which for a personal user at the time was affordable (around 90 UK pounds). I'd like something that would work with XP too how can I enter the current C++ Builder market? Is there a single user (home user) type deal? I see the latest versions are over 1000 UK Pounds which is a lot for an occasional programmer.

Or, dare I say it, switch to a different language/package?

What would be the higest revision for my programs to work on XP? Sometime in the future I would like to build hardware projects that use the USB port. All basic stuff.

thanks in advance

Fully active. Have you been to CodeGear's website lately?

Not for the last couple of versions (2007 and 2009), no. The 2006 version did, though.

Check with your local resellers. Maybe they have their own deals.
