'Freeing' the Form in RAD Studio 2007

Postby smays » Mon Apr 28, 2008 8:36 am

Okay, so I just upgraded to RAD Studio 2007 and so far I like it. I am getting the code templates and the rest of the environment set up 'correctly' (the way I like it), but the Form is 'stuck' with the code. In other words, I access the Form via a tab labeled "Design" at the bottom of the main code window. Having the Form 'stuck' with the code limits the size of the window I can create, and that make the GUI that much more complicated to build.

Anyway, I changed the "Desktop" to "Classic Undocked", which worked with BDS2006, but the Form is still 'stuck' to the main window.

Has anybody figured out how to fix this?

Steve.

Okay, so I figured out how to 'free' the Form a minute after I asked how. Under "Tools"|"Options"|"VCL Designer", remove the check from "Embedded designer" and restart C++ Builder 2007. I vaguely remember this from BDS2006.
